Author Terry Townsend has done a superb job in writing "American Whitetail Deer Hunting Tips & Resources" (A++++). This soft cover book is 486 pages and a real bargain for the price. I own 20+ deer hunting books, and this one ranks in my Top 3 Best Books. This is truly a comprehensive reference book on deer hunting that covers all of the basic fundamentals, such as: pre-season scouting, food sources, scrapes & rubs, the Rut, tracking, deer habits, hunting strategies, dealing with scent control, proper stand placement & setup, understanding the effects of wind direction, still-hunting tactics, stalking tactics, deer drives, deer calls, deer rattling, selection of basic hunting equipment, field dressing & butchering your deer, and many more topics.
